February is a short month, except this year when it's a leap into an extra day. It was time to have the studio painted and spiffed up. I've been doing some window light portraits but have not been happy with the background. Now it will be WHITE, super white. Love it! It was a lot of work emptying the room and will be even more work deciding what to put back and where. The new background roller system is being modified to fit. Watch for the reopening. I think I'll have to have a natural light special. Pretty sure it will be in March.

Double Your Gift with Cape Cod Portraits
With less than two week till Christmas, clients have been calling in buying gift certificates to give their family and friends. Two gifts were for Wooffotos session to be held in February. Luck dogs!! They bought the session fee and I doubled the amount so the recipient will have credit to get themselves bigger portraits!

It's Double Your Dollar December!!!!!

That's right. I will Double Your Dollar on any gift certificate purchased in the month of December. Let's say you want to give a gift of $200, I will make the gift certificate for $400 and we're the only ones who'll know. Sweet deal! This is only good for gift certificates and there's no expiration date on the certificate. No limit to the amount you want to double! To me it's a no brainer. Call the studio, leave a message if I'm out doing Holiday errands.

Thanksgiving Weekend Falmouth Portraits
I had the pleasure of photographing these handsome boys the day after Thanksgiving. It was for their grandmother whose home will be on the 35th Annual West Falmouth Library Holiday Home Tour coming up on Sunday, December 11th. The two older boys are six year old twins and they are full of personality. The little one is their cousin. The funniest thing about the session were the seven adults in attendance as their entourage. We had fun making noises for the little one to react to. The weather was great and the boys were a delight!

Falmouth, Cape Cod Photographer's Studio Tour
Here's a tour of my studio ( It's 2 minutes long) where I meet with clients. We get together before your session to talk about your portrait session. Clients then come back several days after their session for a screening of their portraits in a comfy air conditioned studio. When you come to the studio, view, purchase and pay at the same time, I give you 15% off that order. My clients love that!

Falmouth Portraits-Mother and Daughter
I photographed Kristin last fall for her senior portraits. She's so pretty I used her portrait on my web site. Kristin recently graduated Falmouth High School and will be attending college in Boston, home of the Bruins!! As part of my senior portrait sessions, I include a complimentary family session. We chose the same beach I used for her senior portraits. It's a beautiful, protected harbor. Her mother looks more like her sister. The two have a special relationship. It's a honor to be their family photographer.

Falmouth, Cape Cod Bed & Breakfast-Captain's Manor Inn
The Captain's Manor Inn is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast down the road a mile from my studio. The owners, Trish & Kevin, have wanted me to take some exterior photos but it had rained so much in May. Finally, we had a break in the weather and I was able to have an hour of beautiful spring sunshine. The grounds and the inn are just lovely. Right off the Village Green in downtown Falmouth. It is an elegant place to stay.
